Within Layers is a developing series that draws from the quiet patterns of the earth — layers of stone, sand, sediment, and story. Through transparent resin, muted tones, and delicate linework, these works reflect how time edits and exposes the things we try to bury or preserve.

Each piece is composed slowly and intentionally: a base layer is drawn, sealed, and added to, echoing nature’s own process of layering and erosion. Deep burgundy tones emerge like root systems beneath pale washes of neutral pigment. What’s seen is only part of the story — the rest lives below the surface.

This series asks the viewer to pause, to consider not just what is shown, but what is felt beneath — in tone, in tension, and in texture.
